” While we seldom associate Barossa with that most stiff upper lipped grape, cabernet, there are many good examples. This is among them. Embellished with the varietal tattoo of dried sage, clove and a whiff of leaf, there is something more nourishing, denser and altogether richer from these parts: black olive, bitter chocolate and cherry bonbon. But what I really love are the tannins: moreish, cocoa-laced and fine grained.”
