Our Commitment to Inclusivity and Accessibility
At Dandelion Vineyards, we are dedicated to making every guest feel welcome, comfortable, and supported. Here’s how we’ve designed our Wonder Room’s (our cellar door) experiences with accessibility in mind.
Parking
We offer two clearly signed accessible parking spaces adjacent to a paved path that provides step-free access directly to the Wonder Room. Additional parking is available nearby for cellar door visitors. There are also two convenient drop-off zones—one near the parking area and another at the rear of the cellar door—allowing guests to be dropped off and picked up close to the entrance.
Entrance & Physical Access
Our Cellar Door is fully wheelchair accessible, featuring wide, level doorways with no height changes and step-free entry throughout. The main entrance is accessed via a smooth cement pathway from the car park and is at least 850mm wide to ensure easy movement.
Indoor seating and viewing areas
The property can be enjoyed with smooth and step-free access to key areas: the cellar door, terrace, and grassed area. Each area offers sweeping views of the property. Click here to access the Step Free Map
Indoor seating in the Wonder Room provides plenty of space for wheelchairs, walkers, and prams, with tables at accessible heights and chairs with backrests and armrests. Pillows are available to provide additional comfort and support.
Lighting is even and glare-free to support lip reading, and both lighting and music can be adjusted for sensory sensitivities. Shade is available on the terrace, and sunscreen is provided upon request. Umbrellas are available to and from the bathroom on rainy days.
Communication
Dandelion Vineyards Wonder Room provides multiple communication methods to suit individual needs and preferences, including telephone, email, an online contact form, and online bookings available via our website. To minimise wait times and ensure a smooth visit, experiences can be pre-booked, with the option to add notes for access needs. Personalised assistance is also available upon request.
We provide alternative communication aids such as a step-free map and visual tasting cards, which can be provided upon request to create a more immersive experience. Plain English is used throughout the Cellar Door to ensure clear communication. All tastings are guided by a staff member, and our $20 Wine Only Self-Guided Experience can also be adapted to suit individual needs and staff is available to assist. Guests are also offered a familiarisation tour upon being seated.

Restrooms
Our accessible restrooms meet Australian Standards for design and signage, with braille and an accessible pathway. One accessible toilet with grab rails and a baby change table, and one ambulant toilet with grab rails are available. Our all-gender bathrooms have easy-to-open doors, with basins, soap dispensers, and paper towels at accessible heights.
Umbrellas are available to and from the rest rooms on rainy days.
Service Animals and Dog-Friendly Amenities
Dandelion Vineyards is a dog-friendly space and welcomes all dogs on the property. Guests are welcome to bring their dogs on their visit to the Wonder Room. Shaded areas and water bowls are available to keep them comfortable. Accredited guide dogs and service animals are always warmly welcomed, and our team is here to support a relaxed and enjoyable visit for all guests.
Assistance
Our team is trained to provide thoughtful and respectful support. Whether you need help navigating the space, accessing information, or participating in a tasting, we’re here to ensure your visit is as enjoyable and inclusive as possible.
Our staff undergoes training to assist guests with diverse needs, including sensory sensitivities.
