Pride of the Fleurieu Peninsula Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 won a Blue Gold award and placed in the Top 100 wines at the 2015 event. As the name implies, the Top 100 are the 100 highest pointed of the Blue-Gold Award winners.
Judges comment: “Deep colour. A vibrant aroma of dried herbs and currants with some green bean characters. A vibrant Cabernet. Ribena and blackcurrant plus some herbal green bean. Finishes a touch dry and tart. Green bean and herbal characters and a slightly sour acid dominate with the food.” Kym Milne MW
The Sydney International Wine Competition is unique as it is the only major, international wine show that judges wines not only in technical terms, but also as a complement to food and the dining experience.
