Red Queen of the Eden Valley Shiraz 2010 rated 96 points in the recently released James Halliday Wine Companion 2014. "Full crimson-purple; the grapes come from the 99-year-old Kroehn Vineyard, hand-picked, open-fermented and basket-pressed to French barriques, and matured in those barriques for two and a half years before bottling unfined and unfiltered. A seriously good and seriously complex wine, awash with red berry and black fruits, the tannins fine but persistent, the overall balance impeccable; the French oak will disappear into the wine as it ages." 420 dozen made.
